Camp Corbett had a visit from a seriously heavyweight guest last night. The huge bull elephant decided to take a short cut through the Camp down to the nearby Baur River. Instead of using the game track that they habitually do, this elephant decided to use the steep steps down the side of the ravine that guests use to reach the river. The result was a seriously trashed staircase, suitably adorned with his unmistakeable cannonball-sized "calling cards".
The Camp will not be demanding compensation from the errant pachyderm for the damage caused.
